Cork (cortical) floors are made from cork oak bark. The bark is crushed, heats up, and then pressed into the forms.

The cork floors have a lot of advantages, they weigh little, simply processed, differ in good properties of heat and sound insulation. In addition, cork floors do not absorb dust, prevent the propagation of ticks and mold formation. The traffic jam is absolutely harmless, which is important for allergy sufferers and parents of young children. This flooring is also characterized by good operational characteristics and resistance to damage.

To extend the service life of the cork coating, it must be periodically opened with varnish. Another indisputable plus of cork coating is its ability to return the previous forms. Owners will not have to worry about minor damage, over time they themselves will disappear. Cork floors are moisture resistant, so they can be used without fear in kitchens and bathrooms. However, long contact with water should still be avoided, since the cork can swell and become unsuitable for further use.

The dimensions of one tile of a cork floor are usually 300 × 300 millimeters, and its width does not exceed 6 millimeters. The thinner the tiles, the higher their stability. The thinnest floors are used in public places, in residential premises, tiles are most often used 6 millimeters thick.

Camping floors are divided into two main types:

one. adhesive;

2. floating.

The former are attached to a faner or a pre -aligned floor. They are treated with varnish and wax. Glue cork floors serve for about 10 years. Floating cork floors are attached using grooves. After installation, they are covered with varnish. Floating floors are considered less stable, their service life does not exceed 5 years.
